Micro Donations for Macro Impact

Donate with a Single Click!

The DC Film Alliance needs to raise $5,000 in 50 days in order to continue our work to unify and strengthen the regional film community.

This year, we did not receive more than $22,000 in funding from various arts agencies and funders.  I urge you to read the article in the DCist.

Please consider a donation of as little as $1. You can't even buy a cup of coffee for that!  Your support will continue our work to strengthen the local film and video community of professionals and amateurs alike.

DCFA Highlights

  • Our dcfilm.org web site is visited and emailed to more than 7,500 people every week. By the end of 2011, we will have introduced the largest film and video listserv in the region (over 1,600 participants) and launched the area's most complete online database of film resources (2,400 entries)

  • The annual Film Festival Conference for festival organizers is being expanded to include organizations from all over the country, and is parallel programming with a similar event (which we inspired) in the Pacific Northwest.

  • The monthly Film Salon provides networking opportunities for indie filmmakers and attracts dozens of attendees every month. Last year, over 800 people attended Salon events.

  • The DC Shorts Film Festival is the largest audience-driven short film festival in the country, this year we screened 145 films from 23 countries in 4 venues over 11 days. In 2011, our audience from DC Shorts and REWIND topped over 10,000 participants.
