I need you to join our team, and to support the crucial work of the DC Film Alliance (DCFA), a new non-profit that I was happy to help form last year. The DCF supports, elevates, and promotes the region’s media arts scene. In addition to workshops and networking opportunities, we help media artists realize their creative goals by strengthening the collaboration between the organizations that serve them. This includes film festivals, screening venues, and member organizations that support media professionals. The DC Film Alliance provides opportunity for these service organizations to better communicate with one another, share resources, and feel the power of teamwork!
Your support will help us to: facilitate our popular quarterly meetings among over 40 community partners; provide a comprehensive electronic Central Calendar of all the region’s film and video events; run the quarterly DC Film Salon for independent filmmakers; continue our educational outreach efforts to groups such as DCTV’s Film Camp; support programs such as the annual DC Shorts Film Festival; and compile a new Economic Impact Survey, proving to area leaders the profound impact our industry has on the region’s monetary health and vibrancy.

The DCFA is happy to announce a first for the area — the Red Carpet VIP Pass.
This special pass allows entry for one person to the opening night film and party (if applicable) of our partner film festivals and screening events during 2008. So far, we have 16 signed up—and more are being added every week. That’s more than one event per month!
The cost of the pass is $300 each, and the tax-deductible portion of this donation is $100. Please consider purchasing a Red Carpet pass, in addition to your gift to the DC Film Alliance!
