regional film festival conference

This event is devoted to you  — the festival organizer.  We want everyone who attends to have their voice be heard.  To this end. we encourage all organizers to bring notes about their experiences running their own festival.  The information shared in the process will benefit everyone, and we will record and share this with everyone after the event.
 
This year, all participants will be randomly assigned to sit on a 3-5 person panel to discuss the following topics. Each panelist will speak for a few minutes, then a full discussion between all attendees will be moderated. In this way, all voices will be heard – and new ideas can be shared.

9:30 - PLANNING:  Finding Entries, Judging Processes, Festival Management software
10:30 - MONEY:  Sponsors and Partners, Ticketing Solutions, Grants and Gifts
11:30 - PROGRAMMING: Event Scheduling, Venue Selection, Technical Requirements
12:30pm - Lunch (provided)
1:30 - AT THE EVENT: Volunteer Management, Partnership/Sponsorship Activation, Panels and Discussions
2:30 - AT THE EVENT: Creative Marketing Solutions
3:30 - POST-EVENT: Audience and Filmmaker Surveying, Event Final Reporting
4:30 - WRAP-UP:  Discussion of key points, Where to go from here, Outreach to others

Registration Fee: $35 (includes lunch and materials)
Discounted hotel rooms available.  There is also free housing available at the homes of local hosts.
