National Mall and Memorial Parks (National Park Service)

  1. Go to http://www.nps.gov/nama/planyourvisit/permits.htm. The applications are on the bottom of the page. The Short Form is for smaller projects, the Long Form for feature films.
  2. Fill out the appropriate application and submit it, along with a $50 processing fee, to:

Smithsonian Institute

  1. Go to http://newsdesk.si.edu/. On the bottom right-hand corner of the screen is the application for filming at the Smithsonian Institution.
  2. If you are filming at a single museum, please submit the form to the press office of the museum. The directory can be located at http://newsdesk.si.edu/contacts/default.htm
